Dear Divine,
Namaste.
Dream state and dream consciousness become the platform for the
Guru,
Devas(Gods) and
Siddhas(perfected beings) to communicate and guide the spiritual seekers. Often the Deity who presides over the
mantra given by one's
guru takes charge of the dreams, protect the
sadhaka(seeker-devotee) from evil invasions and remedy negative dreams. Hence, it is prescribed in the scriptures that as and when one gets an inauspicious dream one should sit on the bead and mentally invoke one's
Ishta Devata( Deity of spiritual choice) by mental chanting and do
Manasa Puja( five fold worship) about which I have mentioned in the previous blog. But this quick action to follow a bad dream it takes a certain degree of alertness and self-programming.
It should be made a habit to make Prayer seeking forgiveness and offering the day's activities as worship of the Divine Parents - Shiva Shakti - the last thought before falling asleep. Further, a very conscious effort should be made to see that the very first thought which arises the moment one wakes up is the
Guru-Devata-Atma-Mantra oriented and the
Manasa Puja is the next mental act. And to achieve this, it is needless to state that uninterrupted consistency in
sadhana(spiritual effort, practice) which is a matter of proper attitude, study of scriptures, systematically recording one's experiences in the spiritual diary and availing oneself of every opportunity for self-correction.
There are different types of dreams based on their causes. How to approach them and study them would be a useful topic about which I would like to add later.
Let these words be lotus flowers offered at the Lotus Feet of the Divine Parents of the Cosmos residing in the hearts of all.
